Semi Brown Rice Sushi Burger

Ingredients(6 people)
200 g semi brown rice
550 ml water
2 tbsp rice vinegar (± 30 ml)
1 tsp sugar (± 5 ml)
1/2 tsp salt (± 2 ml)
1 avocado
2 large slices of smoked salmon or very fresh salmon (100-120 g)
1 tsp sesame oil (± 5 ml)
1 tsp wasabi (± 5 ml)
1 nori leaf
2 tbsp sesame seeds (± 30 ml)
 
For serving
shoyu or soy sauce
pickled ginger slices

In the EZ Mix N Store 1L, soak the rice for 10 min. in very hot water from the tap. Then rinse well with hot water until the water is clear. Drain well.

Place the rice with 550 ml water in the Microwave Rice Maker, cover and microwave for 24-26 min. at 600 watts. Allow to stand for 10 min.

In the Space Saver Bowl 300 ml, mix the rice vinegar, sugar and salt using the Click Series Whisk. Then pour this mixture on the cooked rice and stir gently using the Silicone Spatula Thin. Allow to cool for approx 15 min.

Cut the avocado in 2, remove the stone and scoop out the flesh from each of the halves using a tablespoon, as much as possible keep the flesh in 1 piece. Then thinly slice it using the Utility Knife.

Cut the salmon slices into 12 pieces.

Using the Basting Brush, baste the inside of 6 bases of the Molding Tower. Then start filling with a layer of rice, pack gently with the back of a wet tablespoon. Add a touch of wasabi on the rice, a layer of avocado, 2 pieces of salmon then cover with rice and pack again gently.

Stack the Molding Tower, seal and refrigerate until serving.

Just before serving, cut 1 cm wide strips in the nori leaf. Unmold the Sushi Burgers and wrap each one of them with a strip of nori then sprinkle with sesame seed, and serve with some shoyu and pickled ginger.

All these ingredients are also perfect  to prepare Maki and Nigiri using the Sushi Maker Set.
