Detox Chicken Soup

Ingredients(4 people)
2 spring onion
1 garlic clove
20 g fresh ginger
2 chicken legs, deboned and skinless (± 300 g)
800 ml water
200 g green peas
3 celery stalks (± 150 g)
250 g broccoli
1 laurel leaf
1 pinch saffron (± 0.1 g)
1 tsp salt (± 5 ml)
pepper
6 parsley sprigs
1 tbsp shoyu or soy sauce (15-30 ml)

Cut off the green part of the onion and set it aside.

Peel the garlic and the ginger. Grate the ginger using the Click Series Grater. Chop the garlic and white part of the spring onion using the Herb Chopper.

Thinly dice the chicken.

Place the chicken, the contents of the Herb Chopper, the grated ginger and the water in the MicroCook Round 2.25L. Stir, cover and microwave for 8 min. at 600 watts. Remove the cover, stir and microwave for further 7 min. at 600 watts.

If you use frozen green peas, rinse them to thaw. Using the Chef Knife, cut the celery stalks into 2-3 mm slices. Using the Paring Knife, cut the broccoli into small florets.

Add the vegetables, laurel leaf, saffron, salt and pepper into the MicroCook. Stir, cover and microwave for 5 to 6 min. at 600 watts. Allow to stand for 10 min.

Chop the parsley leaves using the Herb Chopper and slice thinly the green part of the onion using the Grab N Cut.

Add the Shoyu (according to taste), the chopped parsley and green part of the onion to the soup and serve.
